Ταλθύβιος (Talthybios) – Τώνης (Tony)

Ταλθύβιος, Talthybios, Talthybius: He who leads a life of hard work. From ταλαίνω (talaino), to work hard, and βίος (bios), life.

Τάνταλος, Tantalos, Tantalus: He who vacillates. From τανταλεύω (tantaleuo), to swing back and forth, to hover.

Ταῦρος, Tauros, Taurus: Bull. From ταῦρος (tauros), bull. The word also meant penis in classical Greek. Ταῦρος was associated with Poseidon, known as Ταύρειος (Taureios), bull-like, and Dionysos, known as Ταυρογενὴς (Taurogenes),  of a bull heritage. Europa was also known as Ταυροπάρθενος (Taurtoparthenos), a maiden seized by a bull.
